Geography: Where does our FOOD come from?

We started this unit by thinking about, planning and making a breakfast menu. Now we are thinking about where these foods come from. We worked on a life cycle of our breakfast food. Then we went for a quick walk to the gardens and orchards nearby to see what grows around our school. We found pears, pumpkins, tomatoes, raspberries, herbs, grapes and some other plants. Then on Friday we went for a walk to Simply Market to see where some of the food comes from there. This week we are going to make a map and think about why the food grows there and now here. So that means we will be talking about climates around the world,
